The Baie-des-Chaleurs Palliative Care Home project
The Baie-des-Chaleurs Palliative Care Home is a major project that aims to provide our territory with a peaceful, warm and safe house offering four bedrooms. Thanks to a team of caring professionals and volunteers, the Maison's mission will be to accommodate, support and relieve people in palliative and end-of-life care in a warm and human environment, while offering support to their relatives.
Part of the costs related to the care offered by the House will be subsidized on a recurring basis by the Ministry of Health and Social Services. However, setting up the project requires initial funding of $4 to $4.5 million from the private sector. This sum will be used to cover the costs related to the House itself (land and building) and its equipment, as well as part of the budget for the first two years of operation.
Today, we are calling on the mobilization and generosity of the entire community – Gaspésians at heart, of origin or adoption, businesses, organizations, golfers, citizens everywhere – in order to to contribute to the realization of this wonderful project.
